The debilitating pain of a migraine. The disability of poorly controlled seizures. If this describes you, or someone you care about, you are not alone. A staggering 3 million people in the United States alone have been diagnosed with epilepsy. When you consider that migraines share very similar characteristics to seizures, you can add another 35 million to the pool. THEN, consider the fact that neurodegenerative disorders, like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, may be the long-term result of uncontrolled damage to the brain from epilepsy and migraines. This means there are a very large number of people alive today affected by this process that produces a progressive degeneration of the health of our brains.
Most of you have read volumes about your condition and may be as educated, or more so, than the physicians you see for help. This book, unlike others you may have read, will bring together many of concepts that help to heal our brains, improve their function and rid ourselves of debilitating conditions that negatively affect our brains. It is designed as a guide to protect the most important thing you own—your brain. While nothing in the physiology of the brain is guaranteed, the majority of those who follow the recommendations in this book will find relief. Some may be able to rid themselves of migraines or seizures completely.

It took me more than a year to buy this book which tor me looked as containing too few sides opposite to its price, as I already owned 25 books about epilepsy and some about migraine, but then after having bought it and read it, I found that it was a good deal which I had done.Among other, in the book I observed that for all persons, no matter where on the globe they may be living, he recommends at least 2,000 IU of the D vitamin, a day. Before owing the book, I was speculation about starting on the D vitamin, so now daily I also take this vitamin, even though I live here I Thailand.
And among other I also noted the writing about stress, as now 14 years ago, by my first meeting with a doctor in Thailand I then told him that I was afraid that my stress problem with my wife should result in epilepsy like seizures. But he didn’t understand that such could happen, and them ¾ of a year later it started. But then he, and 2 more doctors here in Chiang Mai, only accepted to link such seizures to epilepsy!
Of course, during years I have heard something about the Atkins and Ketogenic diets, but only in the connecting to overweight problems. But then here I also got them in the relation to migraine of epilepsy, so after the interesting information which I have received by reading this book, then after much searching I ordered the book about Atkins and Ketogenic diets, which I found to contains most writing about migraine and epilepsy.
After reading this book, by which I got much interesting information, I went in to see what ells he might have written. But unfortunately, all of his other writings I only found existing as Kindle Edition, which I don’t like. I want to read books which I held in my hands, and can bring with me without speculating about electricity.
But again, an excellent book with much information’s.

Migraines and Epilepsy How to Find Relief Live Well and Protect Your Brain edition by James Bogash Professional Technical eBooks Reviews
Absolutely recommend this book!! Excellent ideas to implement. Very basic things to try that make sense. My son has had a very difficult time with epilepsy medications. The side effects have not been worth the decrease in seizure activity at all. From blurred vision, stomach aches, headaches, depression, agitation, inability to focus, night sweats and more. It's nice to have some insight on making the brain healthy rather than medicating and dealing with the horrible side effects that the prescriptions medications bring. Both my son and I found it easy to understand, The format of summary and actions steps at the end of each chapter will make it easy to implement all of the recommendations to manage and take control of his health. Thank you!
I'm extremely excited that this book came about and also to be a part of the focus group for the final stages. I was extremely honored that James took the time to select a group/panel of us to do this. I thought that it showed integrity on his part and also compassion to let us help him do this. James really hit "the head on the nail" with this book and how he went about it. He explaines it to where you can really understand what is going on how you can treat them. It's amazing how clear he describes them and you can relate to what he is saying. As a migraine sufferer myself, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and being a part of the group and clearly hope that he writes more books on different topics.
I think that this book can really help you if you are a migraine sufferer or even if you just get headaches. If you really listen to what James is saying in the book and do what he says, it can change your life. I've been diagnosed with severe migraines from several different physicians and specialists and have been on several different medications for them. I am now completely off all medications and feeling great. I occasionally get a migraine here and there but I am more aware of what the triggers are and how to deal with them. I learned this by reading this book and really engaging in it and also asking questions and making diaries, etc..
I would and will recommend this book to my friends, family, coworkers, and even people I don't know because I truly believe that this book is great and you will think it is too.
Very pleased with this informative book. My son has been diagnosed with intractable idiopathic epilepsy for over 13 years. We have read numerous books on epilepsy and dietary therapy. James breaks all the processes of our brain down in a very understandable way. I learned more of the process of our brains in his first few chapters than any conversation I've ever had with a neurologist. My interest in the book was focused around information on seizures. In turn I found out terrific information about why I may suffer from migraines and tension headaches. He confirmed a correlation between my migraines right before my menses begin. I have noticed that within two days of a migraine day I will begin menstration. I had thought perhaps it was nutrition related. I'm excited to see if making the changes he suggested help me in the future avoid the migraine day all together. We have switched my son to a low glutamate, organic and no processed foods diet. The greatest seizure control we have ever had! Phenomenal improvements by changing diet and enviromental exposures. I had never heard of a correlation between epilepsy, migraines and Alzheimer's disease before and I found it very interesting. Great information for anyone trying to put the puzzle pieces together on curing an illness.
I LIKE THIS BOOK
Wish they would've edited the book before publishing. OK with some new information for a migraine sufferer with epilepsy for the past 40 years.
This book highlights some of the most important deficiencies in the body that may cause problems. I learned a lot from this book. I highly recommend it.
This book is not well written and poorly edited, making it difficult for me to take the advice seriously. I got to page 11 and had to take a pause to decide if I wanted to continue reading it, or return it. I decided to continue reading. I appreciate his discription of how the brain functions during seizures and migraines, and will implement some of his suggestions. Don't let the poor sentence structure stop you from finishing the book. It is worth the read.
